"Bad Company" is a song by the hard rock band Bad Company. It was released as the third single from their debut album Bad Company in 1974, although it did not chart (in America). Co-written by the group's lead singer Paul Rodgers and drummer Simon Kirke, the song's meaning comes from the movie of the same name featuring Jeff Bridges and Barry Brown.[1] The introductory three chords of the song are also in the movie. The Joni Mitchell song "Woodstock" from 1970 uses the same chords and piano figure.

Lyrics
Company, always on the run
Destiny is the rising sun
Oh, I was born a shotgun in my hands
Behind the gun I'll make my final stand
That's why they call me
Bad company
And I can't deny
Bad company
Till the day I die
Oh, till the day I die
Till the day I die
Rebel souls, deserters we are called
Chose a gun and threw away the sun
Now these towns, well they all know our name
The death punch sound, is our claim to fame
That's why they call me
Bad company
I can't deny
Bad, bad company
Till the day I die,
Untill the day I die,
Untill the day I die,
Untill the day I die
Eye for an eye
Tooth for a tooth
Blood for blood
We've all gotta die
We've all gotta die
That's why they call me
Bad company
I won't deny
Bad, bad company
Till the day I die
Bad company
I won't deny
Bad, bad company
Till the day I die
Untill the day I die
Untill the day I die
Untill the day I die
UNTILL THE DAY I DIE
